What Age Did you start putting on makeup?

I got away with liner and gloss in junior high so around 12/13. I wasn't suppose to be wearing makeup but my mom didn't make a big fuss b/c I made it look really natural(and I would also apply it at the bus stop at times lol)

I could use lip gloss when i was a teen(12-15) as long as it was clear...then i could wear foundation when i was 16 but i was sneaking and putting some on before then and my mom threatened to extend the age...but she didnt she allowed me to wear foundation at 16....now ive quit wearing foundation all around...well i wear more of a water based tinted moisturizer type foundation...very happy decision that Ive made.....

I was about 12 years old. I was allowed to wear lipstick (light shades), transparent powders, eye shadow (I never really like that, so I didn't wear it much) and mascara. When I hit highschool I started coloring in my eyebrows because they are/were brown and I though them being darker would stand out more.

I was applying bright red lipstick perfectly at 4.. I'm also artistically-inclined. I remember getting into a bit of trouble at school cuz I was the only kid with a makeup case.. parents didn't really care. My parents were born in 1947 and 1948 and are old-school but they value creativity.

Never. When I wanted to wear makeup around 5th or 6th grade (because alot of my friends wore it) my grandmother wasn't having that. I remember she finally told me I could around 7th or 8th grade :perplexed . By that time I was no longer interested/saw how much time it took to apply/saw how my friends looked without it. :eek:

I'm 23 now and still haven't ever worn makeup other than lipgloss and clear mascara for grooming purposes. Not saying that I'm not gonna ever wear it but wouldn't it be a lil weird to START at my age? :lol:

I started at about 18............about 23 when I was wearing a full face
(foundation, concealer, etc)

I don't look like a monster when I wear it (all cakey and stuff) but I do feel more put together.

Might as well learn now so you don't end up being one of those 35 yr. old women walking around looking a fright because they never learned how to properly apply makeup when they were younger.

I mean so many people have said they started alot younger like around the time I wanted to start. I feel like I'd be behind in the makeup game lol. Now I don't even see the point...could be because I'm lazy though :look:

I've been a chapstick queen since i can remember then graduated to clear glosses around 12 and it's been a staple ever since. I wore full face to junior prom, but that was it, unless you count a Mary Kay makeover. I wore lipstick from time to time as a senior in high school.

I'm happy with the clear gloss most days.

chapstick was my lip gloss so lets say when i was like 11/12. foundation, when i was 18 and full face just started this year (21)
