Do cardio that makes you break out in a drippy sweat. Lay off the weightlifting til you get rid of the fat

I agree!...the cardio will burn calories and boost your metabolism...The weights will boost your metabolism even more because muscle keeps your metabolism 'boosted' even at rest. So you'll lose fat and tone even quicker. Plus you won't have to worry about losing weight but getting flabby with no muscle tone.

I have noticed that specific exercises are helping me to tone that area. For example, reverse crunches are great! You can either do that sitting machine where you basically have to lean back in order to lift the weights or there is a standing bench-like machine where you lean over it, bending at the waist, and come back up to a standing position. The only thing is that you are leaning on a slant so that when you come back up, you are flexing your lower muscles. I find that after I work these machines, my back area feels much tighter. Lastly, you can always do dead lifts.

But you absolutely have to do cardio to see a difference.

Great examples of cardio are running, kickboxing, anything that has your heartrate up for quite some time (like 30 minutes to an hour). I hope I gave a good definition.

I gain weight in the gut and have lost a lot in 1 month. I lifted and did very little cardio but simply changed what I eat. I don't eat any sweets, very little carbs, but salads salads salads and fruit. I am so sick of salads salads salads salads! I cannot wait until after my vacation so I can get back on the pork sandwhiches!!!! The change in the eating really helped me TREMENDOUSLY!!!!!!
