Ne'er heard of it. What's the theory?

They work! I've used them for years off and on. I discovered them by accident years ago when I was breaking out a bit and was reading the acne soap boxes. I stumbled on one that had "sulfur" as a main ingredient and bought it. It seemed to clear up my acne better than other soaps, so I always looked for sulfur soaps for acne problems over the years. (In fact, I posted my skin care products under that other thread and mentioned the sulfur soap.)
My mother's insistence of the great things that sulfur can do for your skin also makes me buy sulfur soap for my face everytime I choose a facial soap. Apparently my grandmother would make my mom and her sisters down a mixture of Epson Salt and powdered SULFUR at the first sight of a cold sore or pimple. (My mom and my aunts all have beautiful, clear skin.)
A lot of brands make sulfur soap, I usually end up choosing a Latino brand as these tend to contain the highest amounts of sulfur (10%), but some American brands do as well. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the names of the brands right now. I live in NYC, where do you live? I need to pick up some sulfur soap this week, so I can post the brand name if you want.

Blkmane, very informative. I'd like to get rid of the blemishes around my chin, although judging from my sister I may want to hold off and see if they go away naturally. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

BlkMane does the soap you use contain fragrance?

I don't believe that the soap contains fragrance. I find that most sulfur soaps smell the same: like sulfur...but not bad.
I posted a photo of the soap I use in my Yahoo album (see my profile for link). It's in the Skin Products Used album.

I've tried the soap from that website before, Its okay, I'd use it again. The Dr. collado is more effective in my opinion, but they're both good choices.
