One dry strand comfortably lifted 11 CDs. On the 12th, it can lift them but it snaps when I shifted my hands down and up, so it can only hold 12 if held static and still. I tried a few strands but none lifted 13, the hair snapped instantly.

I have been taking sups and monitoring my fibroids for years and since taking these two enzymes in Feb--I have the best menses of my life and my fibroid pain is almost non-existent. I still have them, I don't know if they are calcified now or if they are still shrinking but I am still taking both supps and hope that this is useful to the ladies that suffer from fibroid pain. I used to have periods so bad I would go thru a package of maxis a cycle. Now my period is so light it is scary---I am going to see my gyno because I lose like tablespoons of blood now instead of cups. No clotting....GOD is soo good.

I'm going to tell my friend about this post. I was on the phone talking to her last night about this.

Her periods were so bad that she would fill a pad within an hour and the overflow and clots would flow down her pant leg and into her shoe. Hemoglobin was like 6. Due to her severe anemia she would have shortness of breath and fatigue. She told me she kept a bottle of peroxide at her desk to remove the blood from the carpets around her desk. I felt so bad for her.

She is currently taking Zymactiv (serratia peptidase combo product), milk thistle, vitamin C, vitamin D and some others I can't remember. Her latest addition was DIM.

I told her to keep a diary of her flow and diet. She has been on it for only 2 weeks but I think this is working :yep: She reported that her flow this time was still present but not as heavy. I'm anticipating improvement as the weeks and months go by.

Thanks so much for this post.

i haven't blogged in a long time, since i recently gave birth. several days ago, i had a major setback and had to cut a few knotted patches from my hair. postpartum shedding has started, so i really have to up my detangling/washing process game.

after all of the hair drama, i have decided to challenge myself to a bun challenge and castor oil challenge. i don't plan on straightening my hair for a long time. my hair doesn't do bad with heat, but i just don't want all of the extra manipulation it takes to wear my hair down. plus i want to be able to use castor oil 1-2x a week. i will be focusing on my scalp, edges, and the ends. i am not really using it for growth, but more of a thickening agent. if growth happens, great!

so for this wash day, i prepped my hair with an oil prepoo, using coconut oil. i baggied for several hours. i put my hair in 6 sections and shampooed with my garlic shampoo. i used a rinse out conditioner, and proceeded with Motions Moisture Plus conditioner to dc.

next, i applied my serum (PM super skinny) and leave-in conditioner (NTM). once i allowed my hair to air dry 80%, i detangled small sections of hair. i applied more leave-in to each section and detangled with a detangling comb. i also applied/massaged some jbco to my scalp and edges.

my hair feels very good right now. i wish i didn't have that setback. i had to cut an inch or so from that nightmare detangling session.

hopefully my hair will recover and those two patches i got will grow back nicely.

i will be rocking a lot of flowers in my hair this summer.

The world is unprincipled. It’s dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn’t fight fair. But we don’t live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren’t for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5 MSG)

We will have negative thoughts come across our minds and we ought not to get into condemnation over it. However, we don’t have to dwell on them and develop a mental stronghold. The devil will bombard our minds will tons of negative thoughts to influence our feelings, actions, and decision-making. Just because we think and feel a certain way, doesn’t mean it is a fact or even true! When we make assumptions based on our automatic thoughts and feelings, we will have a distorted reality: “If I think and feel this way, then it must be right (i.e., emotional reasoning).” Consequently, we will land ourselves into trouble if we make decisions based solely on our feelings. Within a day, our feelings can fluctuate. Therefore, we cannot allow ourselves to be ruled by them. We can feel a certain way and choose to not act out on it.

Emotional reasoning will cause us to experience greater levels of anxiety, depression and stress in life. In “How To Prevent Slipping In Depression,” Joyce Meyer discusses that she went through lengthy periods of depression because she accepted her morning thoughts telling her she was depressed: “For many years of my life, I experienced regular depression. I would awaken many mornings with a little voice in my head saying, "I feel depressed." I believed this was my own thought, not realizing that it was Satan making suggestions to me through my mind. Later, when God drew me into a closer walk with Him and I began seriously studying His Word, I learned that I didn't have to follow every feeling and thought that I had. I began to speak aloud and say, "I will not be depressed." I learned to put on the garment of praise spoken of in Isaiah 61:3. We may not always feel like praising, but a victorious person does not have the luxury of living by feelings.”

Also, when we realize our thinking is spiraling out of control because we just got the wind knocked out of us, we have to begin to remind ourselves: “I have went through much more and came out. God has demonstrated to me in the past that Isaiah 54:17 is true that no weapon—spiritual (i.e., witchcraft), psychological, mental, social, physical, organizational, interpersonal, emotional, criminal, character assassination, or any other weapon coming my way will prosper. I will not go under.” When we choose to calm down, then it opens the door for God to guide us to get out as he did for David in 1 Samuel 30. Additionally, if depression has been a way of life for you for a very prolonged period of time, then you may want to seek out a Christian psychologist to give you the natural and spiritual tools to reframe your thought process. UNTIL NEXT TIME, GOD LOVES YOU TREMEMDOUSLY AND I LOVE YOU TOO. GOD HAS YOUR BEST INTERESTS AT HEART. EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE!!

Started my henna and indigo late last night. Tried the first hour of henna under the steamer. :perplexed If I'm doing the henna and indigo process overnight, with waking up every few hours to do the next step, there is no need to use the steamer. I could have just slept that first hour.

After completing the process this morning, with nice jet black hair, I opened up the a Janet Collection afro puff I bought from the BSS earlier this week for $14.99. Yes, that's half the price of a wig I thought, but let's see how I like it.

In the store, the afro puffs were these small bunches of hair like what my aunt wore in the 1970s when she worked at the state hospital and I was fine with that. So I picked one up in 1B and went about my business.

This morning when I opened the pack, the afro puff expanded like one of those emergency rafts you pull the cord on! I didn't know what to do with it or how I could make that into a puff because the cap and two combs were on such a small piece. But, as I had taken my time to henna, indigo, deep condition under the steamer, I decided that I would make this work.

Lo and behold, I'm walking around today with my Mahalia Jackson/Amy Winehouse updo and I'm truly feeling it. :yep: :yep: I've even sent a photo to my sister and two cousins, one a female cosmetologist the other a male gamer (yes, he would probably consider that his vocation even though he doesn't make a dime from it, lazy bum) to ask how they liked it. And now I'm actually going to post that for all of you now. Yes, this is the first photo I've posted on the board where you can see my face.

So yes, this has been a great henna/indigo/deep condition day. :yay::yay:

BTW, I used my NaturelleGrow Marshmallow Root, Slippery Elm Bark and Blue Malva Cleansing Conditioner to wash out the henna and indigo. I did this twice with each and it seemed to work fine. It looks like this can now replace the Suave Professionals conditioner for me.

After the full process though, my curls were not as defined as my last wash, but of course this process didn't start with a pre-poo, shampoo bar twice, conditioner, deep conditioner process, so I'm still very happy with my outcome.

Young women tend to play around too much and get played around with more often than not which is why many dont actually make it down the aisle married to money until later anyway, even if they started dating money years before. Petite brown-skin women in their late thirties and early forties seem most likely to hit the jackpot, particularly since the men they are dating are their peers or older. Also, brown skin slender women are the "type" rich white men love. Mellody Hobsbon anyone???

Thanks @barbiesocialite I was hoping you (and @Zaynab would respond to my post.

I'm also a mother to an almost 19 year old AND I'm not interested in having more children. I say this because I notice that most women who marry wealthy men get pregnant within the first few months of being married. I'm interested in living and enjoying my life with a wealthy gentleman :look:

Ah, yes...Mellody Hobson. She married VERY well.

Within the past few weeks I've been cleaning out my closet I tend to lean more towards a classic edgy type of style; not that there's anything wrong with that , however, a bit of boho has crept in and I've gotten rid of all those clothes (kept a little of the edgy though). I've also introduced more dresses, blazers, high heeled pumps and jewelry into my wardrobe.

Hmmm, does the natural hair have to go? It's usually kept in a (pretty) stretched-out curled twist-out.

Of course, to each it’s own. However, it’s a waste of your precious life to live a mediocre life when you are created for more because you are too afraid of taking a risk and failing. Failures, blunders, and mistakes help us along the road of success. It has been demonstrated that people with higher expectations tend to be better-off regardless of winning or losing.

Staying inside to do my ordering this week.

From www.hennasooq.com, I ordered 300 g of indigo. I contacted them first and was told it would be 3-100g bags, not 1-300g bag. Also snagged a free pair of the nitrile gloves and a free download of their e-book with 11 henna body art designs. Who knows? Maybe I'll have a tent set up at the next arts and craft fair in Columbia.

From www.thevitaminshoppe.com, I ordered two bottles of bamboo silica tablets. The tablets are 300mg and should last me two months. I will continue to take these along with biotin until I finish up the biotin. Maybe I can get a growth spurt going into summer.

Also from www.thevitaminshoppe.com, I ordered "Organic Black Tea Earl Grey Lavender." I've been wanting to work on tea rinses. I tried a couple of times with my nettle tea and thought it was the wrong tea. It may have been because I didn't conditioner after. At first, my hair felt soft, but later in the day, very dry and somewhat brittle. Anyway, I'm running out of nettle tea as I was trying to drink it with local organic honey every other day, so if the rinses don't work, I'll just keep drinking the black tea.

And my biggest leap of faith in hair shopping today: Terrestrials Mud Wash. :yay:
I have a co-worker who uses the mud wash and asked if she had any to sell that she didn't like. She didn't and actually needed to make an order herself. So we ordered together and split shipping. :yep: She says it normally takes a week to arrive. Definitely excited to be taking the plunge finally.

So yes, I am about to go hardcore on this. I know I have growth as evidenced by how often I henna, so it must be breaking and shedding who are the culprits. Time to put an end to it.

I have taken a few starting photos and will officially be entering a few challenges. Once I do my initial posts, I will probably be doing a lot of copying and pasting from my blog to the threads to show my updates and progress.

Thanks everyone for helping and encouraging. It's your experience and knowledge that will get me to my goals and beyond.

Have a great weekend!

I've answered the other four questions already thanks to the help of the ladies here on the boards. :yep: I still have a few left with one new one added at the end.

1) Will using a mud/clay cleanser really eliminate my pre-poo, shampoo and rinse out conditioner? And possibly deep conditioner?

2) Does the Royal Indian Bazaar (where I'm getting my henna locally) have AVJ? Do they sell multani mitti, rhassoul clay or bentonite clay?

3) For the moisture mix I make, should I be using AVJ instead of water?

4) How many more pieces of information do I need before I make the mud/clay cleanser plunge? :spinning:
