I've been itchy for a BC for awhile. Now that its winter, I haven't been as antsy, but my dry, damaged ends have still been bugging me. Had my mom take off 2 inches on Wednesday.It feels awesome! Like having a whole new head of hair, but still holding on to the majority of my length. And I definitely am not contemplating a BC anymore. Yay for trims!

I didn't feel well Tuesday, so I didn't cowash.

My bantu knots looked good but when unraveled they looked horrible because of my ends. My deva cut is in less than 4 weeks but my ends are just unmanageable.

So I took small sections, spritzed with a diluted conditioner mix, put AO White Camellia on each section, combed through with a fine tooth comb and put the section in finger coils. I then cut off a section at least the width of my index finger. And if it needed more...

Over the weekend I put in curlformers so I could trim my ends. After looking at my hair, it pretty much turned into a hair cut I had to trim between 1" to 2.5". It could have been more. Before the cut my hair was in layers: CBL, SL, NL and nape length. Now my hair is between EL (I hope) and NL.

I recently reached SL and shooting for APL in December. At the same time I realize that I have 1 to 2 inches of damaged hair that will have to go. Most of the hair grown in 2010 is damage and I seriously doubt it can be saved. The hair from 2009 has been trimmed away and the hair from 2010 is now my ends.

I could cut the 2 inches off now but that would cause me styling issues. So I am dusting 1/4 to 1/2 inch when it seems necessary. Fortunately im not afraid of the scissors.
