By last Friday I was ready to be done with the coils. But I received a lot of compliments last week which I don't usually get with my hair. Two ladies on the elevator at the hospital gave me compliments. One lady at the bus stop gave me a compliment. And on Friday, when I thought my hair was done, a guy yelled out he liked my hair. I purchased a wig about a month ago. I purchased a Sleek Mia Human Hair Wig from the UK. I wanted a short wig and one that looked as close to my hair as possible. It's hard to find nice natural looking wigs. But I felt that this wig would be similar to what my hair would look like with a flat twist out on stretched hair.

Not sure of my wash regimen last week. I washed and conditioned with 4 Naturals Extra Moist Detangling Shampoo and Conditioner. I know I DCd but not sure with what. I rinsed and baggied with heat for 15 minutes. I used As I Am Leave-in. I think I applied some Avocado Oil and I let my hair dry...

Due to my shrinkage my hair is still too short to look good in two strand twists. I really need to put my hair up though so I have decided to go back to the finger coils. I don't mind finger coils, they look decent on me. However, after day 4 they can start to look rugged and my scalp needs washing. So that leaves me needing to finger coils 2x a week. That wouldn't be so bad but it takes me 3 hours to do finger coils at the size I like. Maybe as my hair gets longer I can do larger coils.

I skipped week 12. A lot was going on. I reached a point where I really was tired of twists. So I decided to try some twist outs and cowashing mid week. My hair is still too short to get a good twists out with just a few twists. So it still takes me a while to retwist my hair. And washing my hair in twists does not work for me. So until my hair is APL I will hang with the twists during the week and the twists out on the weekends.
