I have to accept the fact that steaming is just not for me. I dread the thought of having to sit under the steamer. It just reminds me of sitting under the dryer. So I have given up my journey of steaming for 2011.

I prefer my heat cap and I seem to see better results.

Since I purchased the steamer I do want to use it. Once I reach APL I will try it again. I am thinking with longer hair it won't take me as long to style my hair so maybe I won't see the steamer as just...

--Rinsed my hair in the shower.
--Applied a castor oil growth blend to my hair and scalp and massaged in briefly.
--Mixed AOHSR and Zuresh conditioner and applied to hair.
--Worked the conditioner through with my tangle teezer and denman.
--Put in large twists and pinned them up.
--Steamed for 20 minutes with filtered water.
--Reapplied conditioner after steaming and let it sit for 2 hours.


I really dislike sitting under the steamer ...

Tried it a little different this week. I applied the Zuresh conditioner with some oils and raked it through my hair and I let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. I steamed with my hair hanging down instead of piled or pinned up.

I put the steamer directly on the table and not on a phone book. That had the top of the steamer right at the top of my head and I left all the vent holes open. I think that worked out because more of my hair came into contact with the steamer.
