So, I trimmed my hair today. I accidentally cut about 1.5 inches on my right (when looking at the mirror) nape. ugh, oh well. I was aiming for .5 all over but I am still trying to find which trimming technique is best for me... and I am definitely sticking to cutting in twists because it's easier to cut less hair that way. All I did was section my hair and spray with warm water, apply my deep conditioner, smooth my hair, stretch it out while finger combing, dentangle then braid/twist then pinch...

I haven't retained anything in 2012. My hair is the same length as it was September, 2011. I thought my regimen was good but I think that my hair needs far less protein than I expected. So for the next 8 week, I will lay off all protein and protein like products and focus on moisture, moisture, moisture. And maybe if I am lucky, I can at least retain 3" by the end of the year.
