    2/21 Wash Day

Hi! I went through this phase and what helped me so far was looking at old pictures. My hair is so much thicker and healthier with natural hair. My only concern is wearing it straight in the summer months. I might have to learn to love the twist out, because straight hair doesn't last for me while I'm natural and it barely lasted while texlaxed.

I hope you decide to do what's best for you. I'm really enjoying the health, thickness and compliments that I receive on my natural hair right now. Bunning helps!

    Returning to Texlaxed???

Thanks @tolly I will definitely post pictures. After doing research on stylists in this area, I agree with you. I am going to just wait til June and see my old stylist.

I'm already ready to take it out!

I know exactly how you feel. I hid my hair under weaves and extensions for over a year waiting for my hair to grow out so I could cut it even and during that time I bought some beautiful 20 in kinky curly hair. I love this hair but I don't want to get an install because I think I will feel fake, I won't be able to wash the way I want, and I don't want it to take away from people being impressed when my own hair is that long.

I have been working on making it into a wig as a compromise but it is only half finished sitting in the back of my drawer getting tangly...

I agree with Butterfly. Speak up! If she's not with it, then you can let her know you'll still use her services for other things, but you'll be heading elsewhere to texturize.

If she's good at everything else, maybe you could bring the overlapping to her attention and see how she reacts? I've given stylists a chance before and if they didn't make the correction, then I moved on.

It's always best to find someone who is also in tune with your own personal hair goals.

    Glad you have your Auntie.:yep:

Applying to Physical Therapy School Vent

Those practice books really help!! I found that they help you a LOT with the vocab. When I was studying for the GRE, I would read newspapers ( like the Wall Street Journal) to boost my vocab. They also prepare you for the types of questions you will see on the exam. If you are disciplined in your studying, you'll find that the GRE is nothing more than a glorified SAT.

Also, this might be a little late but have you looked into any volunteer opportunities that you could be doing right now?

Work hard on the GRE, do as many practice questions as you can. If you do really well on it, that'll boost your application.

Chagrin Valley Review: Babassu & Marsh Mallow

I've used this before and I agree with everything you said. I've tried a bunch of the Chagrin Valley shampoo bars and they are all a little difficult to suds. I think that is just inherent in the product though. I'm used to regular shampoo that gives mounds of bubbles!

I didn't like the powders (besides henna). Never did much for my hair and kinda dried it out. I do love this little shikakai shampoo bar that I found at an Indian market.
