I am wearing my texlaxed hair down for the first time. I still have some relaxed ends to snip but my waves and curls are noticeable and defined. But it came to my attention that the end of my strands are curly/wavy, the middle is semi-straight and my roots are curly/wavy. I wondered about my stylist overlapping when she texlaxed a few weeks ago but I gave her the benefit of the doubt.

I love my stylist but I have decided to let my Aunt texlax my hair now on. She used to texturize her own hair before she went natural... and there is no way I'd feel comfortable using chemicals on myself! So that'll be what I will do now on.

I plan to return to my stylist though. Everything else she does is dead on! I plan to return to her for another sew in end of May. Can't wait!

It's always best to find someone who is also in tune with your own personal hair goals.

    Glad you have your Auntie.:yep:

If she's good at everything else, maybe you could bring the overlapping to her attention and see how she reacts? I've given stylists a chance before and if they didn't make the correction, then I moved on.

I agree with Butterfly. Speak up! If she's not with it, then you can let her know you'll still use her services for other things, but you'll be heading elsewhere to texturize.

It is great to find a good stylist that you can trust. Good luck with your aunt texlaxing your hair.
