JOB HUNTIN IS FRUSTRATING!!!

I have recently (FINALLY!!!) graduated with my Master's and am now looking for a job in my field of study. I have been on quite a few interviews over the past few weeks, with no success (at least not yet).
My latest interview was this past Thursday. I think that the interview went well. I REALLY want this job and think that it would be great for me. The company is looking to hire about 10 people for the position that I interviewed for. The interviewer told me that she would have a decision made by yesterday (Monday). After the interview I sent an email thanking her for interviewing with me. On Friday I did not attempt to contact the interviewer at all. Yesterday I attempted to call the interviewer. I left a message because I was unable to get in contact with her. I also sent another follow up email expressing my interest in the position. I did not hear back from her. So today I called and left another voicemail for her. I didn't send another email, though.
I guess my question is how much is too much when it comes to trying to get an answer about a job? I don't want to overdo it, but I do want it to be known that I am very interested in the position! I would love to have this position and don't want to fall by the wayside and she hires other people! But I don't want to be viewed as a stalker, either!
So, do any of you have any advice for how to be assertive without being stalkerish?
I don't want to be too pushy. But I want a clear answer as to whether I got the job or not (hopefully that I did get the job!). Any advice/comments/stories would be greatly appreciated. TIA!

I am in the same boat you are with the job hunt. I to struggle with how long to wait to follow up and how to show interest without seeming crazy lol.
It's been a while since this post but, have you heard from them yet?
IMHO, I think you have done enough. Trust me, she has received the voicemails and emails. She may have been out of the office for the holidays but I'm pretty sure she is back now.Posted 01-04-2011 at 07:02 AM by p31woman

I have since interviewed at a few other places, so I'm hoping that I will have a new job soon!
