Well not even really diffusing but using the blow dryer to fluff and stretch my curls out.

I like big voluminous curls so I'm enjoying the look that diffusing gives me so much more. I'm doing this once a week. Wonder how damaging this is. Ugh...why did I have to even start doing this (Taren from youtube...I blame you).

I have become sort of addicted to diffusing too...I use low heat and only diffuse for about 2 or 3 minutes with my head flipped upside down, let my hair rest for a bit, then diffuse for 2 or 3 minutes more, just until my hair is no longer soaking wet. I don't blow the top at all, else I will get frizz. It's so little heat, and basically no manipulation, so I can't see how it would be damaging at all...I guess I could be kidding myself...!

Looks very pretty(sorry that probably does not help your cause). With my fine hair, I understand the quest for big curls * sigh * Well, once a week isn't soooo bad. I guess you'll just have to keep an eye on your hair to see how it holds up. Good luck!

As long as you're taking care of it (heat protectant, moisture/protein balance, all the LHCF good stuff), and it looks that gorgeous, I say go for it!

I hope it's not too damaging. I look at is is not being direct heat like a flat iron is....i might be kidding myself thinking that too, lol.

I haven't tried it yet but I have a feeling that I will try it once I buy a diffuser.. I saw online where deva curl I think has a diffuser that looks like hands and its suppose to bother the curls while diffusing the hair and give even heat.. Its a hand held dryer that goes with it also..

    Oh Snap!

You had to go ahead and mention a name from youtube; so, as nosy as I am, I looked Taren up. I must of went to bed imagining her hair was mine. Hair porn deluxe! Yes! Yes! Yesssss! Now, I've gots to diffuse and stretch. I also can't wait to get my loc soc to cover my head, so I don't have to rewet my curls. Anyways thanks for sharing your hair journey with us; I would'nt have found that information with out reading your blog and you have scrumptious hair.:lick:
