Regaining Clarity In Moments of Confusion
For God is not the author of confusion but of peace… (1 Corinthians 14:33 NKJV)
Confusion tends to shut us down and temporarily stops us from making forward momentum. We can experience moments of confusion when we are: (1) at the crossroads of a critical decision; (2) in seasons of transitions; (3) difficult situations (e.g., relationships, hostile work environment, etc.); or (4) for any other reason. If we stay tuned into this channel for some time, then we will find that we are not making any form of progress. Confusion causes us to have no inner peace. Thus, it opens us up to feeling anxious, sad, discouraged or overwhelmed. This will lead to poor decision-making and will push us toward a downward spiral.
When we are experiencing confusion, it is time to stop, regroup, and readjust ourselves. We should always ask for divine guidance and keep it together—don’t lose it—remain cool, calm and collected. It is harder to resolve things or regain your footing if you are in a frenzy.
Don’t run your life in an unfocused and aimless manner! First, examine the stuff that is not working in your life and eliminate them. We know what self-destructive habits that we possess which are impediments to us accomplishing our goals. For instance, it would not be financially responsibility to spend lavishly on depreciating items if we are to looking to make long-term investments within in the next couple of months. Stop trying to buy time because you don’t want to make the right decisions now. Second, establish clear goals with desired outcomes. What do you want to achieve? Have you researched what you need to do? Make the decision to focus on one goal at a time. This will help you to be successful and build momentum. When you spread ourselves too thin without attaining outside help, then you are likely to fail. It is easier to narrow your focus and go from small victories to larger victories. Finally, “let go and let God” for things that are not under your control. We will always run into trouble when we get ahead of God or His timing. Don’t try to do His job! He is good at it and we are not! UNTIL NEXT TIME, GOD HAS YOUR VERY BEST INTERESTS AT HEART. HE LOVES YOU VERY MUCH AND I LOVE YOU TOO.
