Trying not to cut

I'm growing out henna. I love the color. But it really, really doesn't go with my skin tone. I've got a lot of yellow undertone from the Filipino in me. And I've lost a lot of curl. I miss it!
I don't relish the thought of being two toned for years. Or two textured. I know I'm going to need to give my hair extra TLC. So the idea of BCing has been bouncing around my head.
But...and its a big but...I like the length I'm at. Its taken years to get here. And I'm just starting to be able to make some presentable braids. Yeah I know. Slow learner.
So I talked to DH. He is supportive of my hair at any length, but he really encouraged me to wait it out. In case its my usual summer craziness. Which I appreciate. I've BC'd on a whim before (4 years ago) and regretted it.
So I'm trying to be patient. Its making me a bit batty
