I've had things I follow but I've never had a great regimen. I've always had bits and pieces.

Shampoo/Cleanser (Staple)
After much trial and error I found Terressentials Mudwash. I like it and use it once or twice a month. I am considering trying some other things for alternating weeks.

Cowash Conditioner (?)
Right now I am using DevaCurl products. I like them but won't repurchase. What I think I have found is Burt Bee's Shiny Hair Conditioner. Too early to tell if its a staple but it has potential. Giovanni SAS is good but on the fence.

DC Conditioner (Staple)
I love, love, love Aubrey Organics Blue Chamomile. It is the only conditioner I have ever used on my hair where my hair feels soft when its on and after I rinse. I'm just going to stick with this. Also using Nubian Heritage Growth and Strength. I like this as well. Trying out Shea Moisture Purification Masque. No thoughts on this yet.

Leave-In/Moisturizer (?)
I have NEVER had a leave-in or a moisturizer. But I think there is a catch to when I need to apply it. Will take about that later. Currently trying Giovanni Direct, As I Am, Jane Carter and Burt Bees Pre-shampoo.

Stylers: Gel, butters, creams (?)
I have no clue what to do with stylers unless I'm doing twists : I think I will go back to Taliah Waajid products after I use up all this junk I have or when I'm tired of them. I currently have KCCC, Deva Curl Angel, Deva Curl ArcAngel, Jane Carter Curl Defining Cream, Jane Carter Nourish and Shine.

Oils (Staples)
I stick with grapeseed oil and sunflower oil because they don't weigh down my hair and they give me some shine. I use castor oil on my scalp. And when I travel I use olive oil because I can use it on my face.

Current Regimen
Because my hair is short, I can wash my hair when I want. But because my hair is short, I don't yet know what to do with it. What I have come up with so far is
--Wash/Cowash
--DC... My dry hair needs it. 30 min w/heat
--Apply leave in
--Use heat cap for 15 min to absorb leave-in
--Let dry
--Apply oil
--Mist with water
--Apply leave-in/moisturizer
--Use long tooth scalp massager to loosen curls
--Use short tooth scalp massager to get texture look

Observations/Next Steps
1. Defining my curls while wet is a waste
2. Try applying oil after last rinse instead of leave-in. They seem to do nothing.
3. Apply leave-in/moisturizer after its dry.

This morning I applied oil, misted hair with water and applied Burt Bee's PreShampoo. And my hair dried nice and soft.

Next Wash Strategy
1. cowash
2. DC (optional)
3. rinse warm, apply oil
4. let dry
5. mist with water
6. apply leave-in
7. define curls
8. apply more oil if necessary

    Hey Faith
Just wanted to give my 2 cents for what it's worth. Regimens are tricky. One the one hand you want to get it right the first time but the on the other hand it make a few months for your hair to adjust to the changes. I would say stick with one regimen for at least 2 months. No matter what. If you do make a change do it after 2 consistent weeks of a method with documented disadvantage (at least 3 reasons) as to why it didn't work. IF you do change something, only change 1 thing at a time. Changing everything at once leaves you back to where you started. HTH
