Confessions of a 4A APL Hair Obessesor Part 5

Hi guys!
I am currently 16 weeks post my last relaxer (February 4th). I was supposed to get my hair relaxed at the salon this weekend, but since I became sick I had to postpone till next Tuesday, June 12th.
My hair has been thriving during my stretch. It has gotten longer and thicker than I have imagined. But, I have been experiencing some problems with breakage. Yesterday, I went to the BSS and found ApHogee Two-Step Protein Treatment and the Balancing Moisturizer that you use right after it. I uploaded a picture of the two products below.

I read many good reviews about this product, but I was little apprehensive about using it at first, because some women said it made their hair extremely hard which caused it to break off even more. It is important that you read the directions CAREFULLY when using this product because it is for professional use only and is only supposed to be used as a treatment every 6 weeks.
The directions are as follows:
Directions
1.) Gently cleanse hair with ApHogee Shampoo for Damaged Hair. Rinse thorougly and towel blot dry.
2.) Apply enough ApHogee treatment to thoroughly saturate hair and comb blend through with a wide tooth comb for even distribution.
3.) Leave hair uncovered. DO NOT use a plastic cap. Seat client under medium heat dryer, with high airflow. (Alternatively, a hand dryer may be used, but hair SHOULD NOT be agitated while drying).
NOTE: When ApHogee treatment is dried into the hair, the hair becomes extrememly hard. DO NOT comb or brush hair while ApHogee treatment is dried and in the hair.
4.)Re-wet and gently rinse thoroghly with warm water. Remove all excess protein. Towel dry.
5.) Apply ApHogee Balancing Moisturizer to hair and scalp. Leave on for 2 minutes then rinse thorougly .
6.) Proceed to next service or style as usual.
My experience: The smell of the Two-Step Protein Treatment is pretty horrible. The product itself is also very sticky, so I would suggest using a spray bottle to apply to your hair. When you apply the product your hair does get hard like someone put tons of mouse, spritz, or hair gel in your hair. The product is also kind of tough to rinse out, but it does come out. After applying the Balancing Moisturizer then rinsing that out as well, my hair felt like--heaven! This stuff made it feel so soft, healthy and strong! I would however, suggest following up with a moisturizing conditioner, because even though your hair will be stronger, it can be too much, but it does what it says it does, and I'm satisfied with my results.
I will use this product from now on 1 week before my relaxers which won't be much since I only relax roughly about 3-4 times a year, and I will use a mild protein reconstrctor once every month to maintain the balance of protein in my hair.
If you have any questions about the product, or would like to know more about my hair after using the product, feel free to PM me or leave a comment. Thanks and happy hair growing!
