Last week I bought Kids Organics Gro Strong Triple Action Growth Stimulating Therapy from Wal-Mart, and I started "greasing" my scalp with it.

The reason why I bought this is because I wanted to see how much growth I could achieve by adding it to my regimen. The only other growth aids I've used in the past is Megatek, but it makes my hair hard from the protein, and Wild Growth Hair Oil which left my hair very oily (but I guess maybe I used too much) and other hair greases that were supposed to make your hair grow.

Now, I know one of the biggest hair don'ts is using hair grease on your scalp because it has harmful ingredients such as petroleum and mineral oil that can clog your pores and block moisture from pentrating your hair/scalp--BUT Kids Organics Gro Strong Triple Action Growth Stimulating Therapy has no petroleum. It has mineral oil though, and cones, but some of the ingredients are natural and actually pretty good for your hair.

The ingredients listed on the back of my jar are:

Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Hydrogenated Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Cera Microcristallina, Parfum (Fragrance), Propylparaben, Lanolin Oil, Phenyl Trimethicone, t-Butl Hydroquinone, Zea Mays (Corn) Oil, Piper Nigrum (Black Pepper), BHT, BHA, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, CI 61565 (Green 6), CI 60725 (Violet 2), Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Hydrolyzed Gylcine Soja (Soybean) Protein, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Equisetum Hienale (Horsetail) Extract, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Fruit Extract, Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil).

The cream is very light and thankfully it doesn't have that hair grease smell to it. Also, I would not use a whole lot because a little bit of this product can go a long way. Lastly, it gives your hair a good shine.

The only downside I can think of is that this product makes my scalp itch, but I reckon putting anything on your scalp would make it itch a little.

I'm not an advocate for using hair grease, hairdress conditioners, creams, etc. but I wanted to do a blog post on this particular product because many times we're told that hair grease isn't good for you. However, all hair grease may not be as bad as we think.

I currently use this on my scalp 1X a week, but I may use it more. Hopefully I will see growth from using it as I am trying to reach full BSL by the end of the year.

If you have any questions please leave a comment or feel free to send me a PM. Thanks!
