Hey Ladies,
I need your help. I just recovered from Hypothyroidism and I'm struggling with losing the 20pounds I gained while I was "Hypo". If you've been there, you know how HARD it is. I now have to diet and exercise much harder than before to get visible results. BUT if I ever slack off my exercise or binge, the weight packs on so fast! :nono: My body has never been like this and it's frustrating!
I heard about how coconut oil helps trim fat. Is this true? Has anyone tried this?
ETA: I tried a search and got very little results.

Cured myself? Yeah right! A gazillion medical bills and months of pill popping put my underactive thyroid under control.

i dont see how coconut oil can make people lose weight? i mean its not even recommended for use as the oil to fry eggs or whatever people fry on a daily basis because it has the most satuated fat compared to rape seed and olive oil (rape seed has the least unsaturates..lower thean olive oil) coconut oil and coconut milk is quite fattening

Okay, I posted this in the other coconut oil for weight loss thread:
Wow, there's not anything that you cannot find on LHCF. Ladies who use this method, I have a couple of questions for you:
Is there anyone still doing this? What results have you gotten.
Has anyone used this while losing a significant amount of weight?
Will the coconut oil that I buy from the african store work as well as the EVCO that we get from the health food store? It is probably as unprocessed as you can get. And it is more cost effective.TIA
But I figure that I'll post it here to get the most out

How long did it take to get your thyroid under control?
My dose just went down a few months ago. Is that a clue that I'm on my way?
