Carmindy uses Era Face. That line has come a loooooong way - from a few shades to include many more for people of color. Surprisingly the coverage is great, mainly because you can layer it where you need more coverage. Apply it with the 187 brush for a flawless finish. I like it:yep::yep:

I tried the MAC spray foundation and at first it looked good, then oxidation set in and it turned orangy.

Thx! *off to google Era Face*

You are my hero...u are the go to person for everything fashion and beauty! lol

I wouldn't think so unless you're sensitive to sugar. Make sure you're well hydrated and you should be good with your fancy coffee there.

Eyeshadow or foundation primer? My foundation primer I use a brush but my eyeshadow primer I usually use a sponge applicator if I want it really opaque for one of my bright color days. Fingertips for a more sheer application for the occasional neutral/less bright color days.

Actually coffee w/o sugar and cream is excellent for skin. Coffee is an excellent antioxidant. It's the sugar and cream that aren't so hawt for the skin. I type that as I get ready to have my breakfast blend with French Vanilla Non-Dairy Creamer, once I'm done with my brunch. (But I'm, however, slowly working my way to being all black no sugar coffee-drinker, like I once was. *sigh*

I didn't realize that there's a difference. I apply all over my face and eyelids before makeup application. Do you use the same kind but apply it differently, or different kinds altogether? Thanks!

Mine are two different ones. I use an oil control rice powder primer under my foundation. My skin is super amazingly oily. And then I use a kaolin clay based primer on my eyelids for eye shadow.

Sometimes I use cream liners as shadow bases depending on the look I'm going for. Or paints but not as often because the paints I have are really sparkly.

Do you think the rice powder primer would work in my t-zone? The skin in my t-zone is extremely smooth and oily, so after a few hours my brows tend to fade :ohwell:..I tried the Monistat Anti-Chafing under my mineral makeup which helped but they still faded some. I've tried both eyebrow pencil and shadow.

Any suggestions?

I was watching some of CandieC's tut's on Youtube where she mentions a mixing medium (glycerin and distilled water) for color boosting shadows and pigments. EnKore also has a mixing medium tut. Has anyone tried this? Seems like it would be oily.

Thanks!

I am old school with my brows and use a little waterproof mascara to get them neat. I've been doing that for like 15 years LOL. I very gently brush my brows with my mascara wand. I haven't tried the anti-chafing gel yet. Have you tried waterproof liner pencils on your brows?

I use this primer http://item.express.ebay.com/NEW-Oil-Control-Primer-Shine-Reduction-Powder-Makeup_W0QQitemZ300212979293QQihZ020QQfromsoiZ1QQc mdZExpressItem

Or this one from Fyrinnae depending on how my skin is acting. More oily daysI use the happy minerals one above. http://www.fyrinnae.com/product_info.php?cPath=54&products_id=817

Another one:

I just bought MAC nymphette lipglass, what do you use as a lip liner with it?

I don't use one with Nymphette. It looks gold on me.

What's up with this Monistat Anti-chafing cream/gel being used to combat oily skin? Anyone got any threads on that? I couldnt find anything in search.

What's the deal with this? You put it all over your face like a moisturizer? Does it smell? Texture? Is this just another unneccesary bandwagon?

I'm an oil slick over here so anything new and inexpensive, i might try. Derm meds work for my acne and my skin is smooth....just OILY as all get out.
